INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR FACINGS OF CERAMIC CONCRETE

The company has developed a novel technology for manufacturing of light-weight ceremic concrete. Earlier experience with concrete facing indicated that products made of the new concrete would be a great novelty on european and even worldwide construction market. These thoughts got confirmed and recent boom in facing of the whole facades, especially in north Germany and Benelux, speed up the development and market introduction of ceramic concrete products. The trade name has been introduced for the ceramic concrete product family.

Processing of classical concrete was stopped in 2002. Concrete products are supplied on special orders or as follow-up deliveries for earlier business cases. are characterized with low mass density but regarding product appearance, there is no significant difference compared to concrete products. The whole assortment comprises of six basic lines supplied in six basic colors. basic lines are: Bossiert, Bruch, Lícovka, Rustika, Kombi and Kombi plus.
Color portfolio: white, cream, ochre, grey, light red, dark red.

Keraton products are environment friendly. Its manufacturing is in fact waste-free, eventual scrap is reprocessed /milled/ and reloaded to production line with raw material. Processing of the basic raw matrial, Liapor is a processing of waste supplied from coal mines. The product is colored with anorganic pigment which manufacturing is based on a very limited chemistry.

ISO 9001:2001 certification will be finalized in 2003.

Liapor
Liapor is very light granular substance produced by expansion of natural clay. According to its essence, Liapor is considered as a ceramic material. This is the higher degree of processing of the incoming material which upgrades basic characteristics of ceramics (e.g. strength, low water absorption, stability and hygienically unexceptionable natur) with very low mass density and excellent thermal insulation. Liapor is noted for granulated form with nearly ball grains, internal porous structure and closed sintered surface.

Facings of Liapor
Basic characteristics of LIAPOR products are mentioned above. The appearance of facings manufactured this way do not differ from standard IMIT® products of concrete, nevertheless the main difference consists in their properties and resulting utilization.
Main characteristic of these products is their low mass density enabling utilization at the buildings with problematic static conditions, thermal insulation systems and interiors.
Most important properties of these products are minimum water absorptivion of ceramic concrete, insulating power, higher frost resistance and at last but not least the strength.
The products of IMIT® Liapor remain diffusive.
All mentioned properties are declared in technical documentation by the Liapor manufacturer.
The products IMIT® were certified in the year 2001 and the ascertained values are included in Technical documentation and in technical datasheet.

Utilization:

  • facades, thermal insulations
  • reconstruction of elderly buildings with impaired statics - lightweighted ceramics facings
  • underpinning
  • interiors (entrance lobby, stone walls etc.)
  • chimneys
  • garden architecture (fire places, fences, security and decorative walls etc.)
  • wet surfaces rescue, appearance modifications of houses

Properties :

  • resistent against climatic load (frost resistent, color persistent …)
  • light - low mass density
  • high strength
  • resistent against scuff
  • durable
  • partly washable with pressure water
  • low water absorption
  • appearance matching natural materials or aged walls
  • textured - highly natural appearance
  • the facing is steam permeable
