Impregnation

Specially developed impregnation for IMIT cladding

IMIT Impreg

  • part of the IMIT System
  • repels water
  • reduces dirt and dust particles
  • increases resistance to acid rain
  • prevents moss formation and efflorescence
  • for indoor and outdoor use
  • odorless
  • allows the tile to wash with water

Features and Usage:

IMIT®Impreg is a water-repellent, water-repellent liquid-based impregnating agent, limiting the absorbency of tiles, preventing efflorescence and bridging. Prevents aging of surfaces and allows easier surface maintenance. It is a yellowish alkaline reaction liquid that does not smell, does not change the color of the cladding and preserves the original natural condition of the cladding. It is suitable for use in interiors. IMIT®Impreg is used as the final surface treatment of IMIT® tiles.

Tile treatment procedure:

The treated tile must be properly dry, free from any impurities, any overflows from IMIT® Spára jointing compound and IMIT® Tmel adhesive. We recommend cleaning with a silon brush before application. Apply after 2 days. IMIT® Impreg is applied undiluted, brushed, rolled or sprayed. The best effect is achieved with a paint brush. After 4-7 years, we recommend that you restore the paint. IMIT® Impreg can not be processed at temperatures below + 5 °C.

Technical values IMIT®Impreg:

Notice:

All these times refer to a temperature of 23 °C and a relative humidity of 50 %. Higher temperatures and lower air humidity accelerate the drying process, lower temperatures and higher drying air humidity prolongs.

Safety at work:

It is an alkaline reaction liquid. When handling, wear safety glasses or shield, apron and gloves. The product is not toxic, but as a chemical it is necessary to consider it a substance harmful to health. Therefore, the basic hygienic requirements must be respected when working with it.
